Autoscuola Scoppio is a driving school based in Giovinazzo that offers driving courses for beginners and higher category licenses. Like many other driving schools, Driving School Scoppio has always used traditional channels such as word of mouth to attract new customers. However, in recent years, Claudio, the owner, has decided to also use social media to reach a wider audience and increase his online presence.
The driving school noticed that most of its competitors primarily used word of mouth for promotion, and therefore decided to differentiate itself by seeking more innovative and less competitive platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The business quickly found that its target audience (people aged between 16 and 22 years) was more active on TikTok and Instagram.
Claudio, the owner, decided to create a TikTok account and start posting content related to driving and road safety, also using the “TikTok challenge” technology to engage users to interact with the content. The driving school promoted its services by focusing on the main issues of young people (fear of driving, high costs of obtaining a license), creating different packages for its services, and thus reaching a wider and more targeted audience.
After starting to use TikTok, whose videos were later also posted as Reels on Instagram, Driving School Scoppio recorded a significant increase in its online presence. Its TikTok account reached the top among Italian driving schools in terms of followers in just a few months. Additionally, the driving school noticed an increase in enrollments for both local clients and, thanks to the integration of a network of driving schools, for clients throughout Italy, managing more national clients than those in the Giovinazzo area.
